STEAM & Science Week
This week, pupils enjoyed a range of exciting activities to celebrate Science Week and STEAM Week.
Throughout Science Week, pupils came together in their Houses to take part in daily breaktime challenges, all tied to the theme Survive with Science.
- Monday: Pupils kicked off the week with a quiz on A Totally Normal Camping Trip, answering survival-themed science questions.
- Tuesday: Pupils tackled purifying dirty water, testing ingenuity in creating safe drinking supplies.
- Wednesday: Edible or Deadly quiz tested which wild foods were safe to eat.
- Thursday: Teams built the strongest possible bridges, putting engineering skills to the test.
- Friday: The week finished with an earthquake engineering challenge, constructing towers to survive simulated tremors.
STEAM Week continued the excitement with activities to celebrate World Space Week. Pupils submitted amazing entries in the Solar System Art Competition, showcasing incredible creativity and imagination. On Friday, everyone took part in hands-on challenges including mini microscopes, space artwork, VEX robotics, and Mars Rover building using recyclable materials. The week ended on a high with a STEAM assembly, featuring a special musical performance from our talented STEAM Team!
