Weekly Sixth Form and Futures Update!
Futures: Weekly Lessons & One-to-One Support
As part of our Futures programme, Years 12 and 13 have a weekly timetabled Futures lesson. These sessions help pupils map their pathway from GCSE to A levels, through university, and beyond.
This term in Year 12, pupils have researched course and subject options, begun compiling their long list of countries and universities, and created CVs on Unifrog (the futures platform available to all pupils in the Senior School).
In Year 13, pupils are finalising their university choices, drafting and submitting applications in time for the extremely competitive early-entry routes, and preparing for admissions tests with the support of subject teachers.
Alongside these timetabled lessons, we host whole-school events, workshops targeted at specific subjects and prospective destinations, as well as one-to-one meetings with both parents and pupils. This one-to-one guidance is available to every pupil and every parent, at any point in the year. These appointments cover course choices, application timelines, personal statements and essays, test preparation and scholarship queries.Upcoming University Events at BCB:
